Not the most flattering shot, but show's me working!Hi, I’m Ketzirah, and this site is an extension of www.peelapom.com. Whereas that site is dedicated to my spiritual path, this one is dedicated to my embroidery and fiber art.

My artwork is often an extension of my spiritual work, but I wanted to delve more deeply into technique and pieces that are not directly connected to my spiritual work in Earth-based Magickal Judaism without diluting the focus of Peeling a Pomegranate. As many of my pieces have a spiritual inspiration, this site will occasionally have references to Judaism, Earth-based Judaism, and Earth-based Spirituality, but only in direct connection to a piece of work.

Embroidery is a form of prayer, magick, and storytelling for me. I like to create objects that will be sacred to the people who own them. I also like to work in small forms. There’s something about creating a tiny work of art that I just love. I really look at it as embroidered prayers. As my spiritual path is Earth-based Magickal Judaism, most of my work is the creation of Judaica art. But, as I’m married to a nice Catholic boy — I occassionally branch into things like Christmas stockings. I also like to create pieces that remind of that love, beauty, and fun exist in the world — I think it’s something we forget.

Whatever I create, it’s intended to strengthen the connections of myself or others to sacred traditions.

My embroidery and fiber art are a great joy in my life and I want to share them with others. If you see a piece you like, please let me know. Some are for sale on Etsy, and many times I like to just give them as gifts — even to strangers!
